Patriots weigh in on March Madness

March Madness has kept people across the country entertaining this month. March Madness is one of the biggest college basketball events that happens during March. During the tournament there will be numerous upsets, breaking the brackets of many faithful basketball fans.

The event started on March 15-16 with “The First Four,” which means that there would be four games for teams to try and enter the official tournament.  The first round of 63 was played March 17-18, the second round of 32 was March 19-20, the “Sweet Sixteen” teams played March 24-25, and the “Elite 8” took to the court March 26-27. The “Final Four” teams will play this Saturday, April 2. Villanova will take on Oklahoma while Syracuse will battle North Carolina.

Darren Tomlinson says that, like many people, his playoff brackets are all messed up. Tomlinson picked Oklahoma, Kansas, North Carolina, and Michigan State to be in his final four. “I felt that those teams had the best chance to win throughout the tourney, but I was so, so wrong” says Tomlinson. Now he believes that out of the teams that are in now, Oklahoma and North Carolina will be in the championship game. His winner will be Oklahoma to cut down the nets at the end of the game.

Christian Turner says that one of his bracket is still doing pretty well–just a few losses. Turner picked Villanova, Oklahoma, North Carolina, and Michigan State to be in his final four. Turner quotes, “I like all of the team’s’ school colors and they are all sponsored by NIKE.” The two teams he believe will be in the championship will be Villanova and North Carolina. Turner said that he’s going with Villanova to cut down the nets at the end of the game.
