Chandler Tuitt Ole Miss Commit

It’s not everyday that someone from Sandy Creek commits to a D1 school that is also in the SEC conference. This is an opportunity that most students over America would love to have and try to strive for, but only a select few actually get the chance. Senior Chandler Tuitt has been one of the few hard workers who have been given the opportunity to play football at the University of Mississippi on a full scholarship.

Tuitt has been playing football since he was about 8 or 9 and says, “This all took hard work and dedication and having the right people coach me up.” His support team includes members of his family members like his mom, his dad, and uncles, and all of the coaches at Sandy Creek and at Flat Rock. He says, “The advice I give others who want follow in my footsteps is stay true to yourself, stay in school try maintaining all A’s and B’s, and don’t hang out around the wrong people.”

Ole Miss offered Tuitt at the beginning of his junior year when they came to Sandy Creek. Tuitt says that Ole Miss is special to him because they were there from the beginning being the second school who offered him. Another reason is because his family also lives in Mississippi, the campus is beautiful, and Ole Miss just has the good family feel to it. He says that he expects to play tackle or guard, but also says that it doesn’t matter–he is an athlete and he can accommodate to playing anywhere.

Coach Householder says”It is up to Chandler to be a good player and he has all the tools to be a good player in the S.E.C.  Hard work pays off in the long run and one example can be shown through Chandler and his accomplishments.
