Fine Arts department hosts evening of display

Tuesday, March 29, was a night of wonders. Sandy Creek High hosted a Fine Arts Night for the Tyrone community consisting of music, art, and more. It was a night for the family to relax and enjoy the imaginative works of this school. Beautiful artwork was displayed by students and some teachers as well. Not only was the talent level out of this world, it was a great representation of our students creative minds. I’ll admit I was pretty impressed with everything. Not only did the art standout, but the orchestra and chorus performed very well. Art isn’t just pencil and paper, it’s a creative way to express yourself. Historically, the five main fine arts were painting, sculpture, architecture, music and poetry, with performing arts including theatre and dance. Today, the fine arts includes everything deemed creative. There was something I think everyone could enjoy, from music to painting to simple sketches–it was truly amazing. Freshman Jamie Morris said, “I was kinda surprised at the creative level of some stuff. It was a winning night for everyone.”
